As prescribed by your doctor, take this medication by mouth, with or without meal, once day. The dose is determined by your weight, medical condition, test findings, and treatment response. If your blood levels are very low, your therapy may be interrupted for a brief period. Keep all of your medical and lab appointments.

Do not raise your dose or take this medication more frequently or for a longer period of time than suggested. Your illness will not improve any faster, and you will be at greater risk of major adverse effects.

If you are using the capsules, swallow the them whole. Do not crush, chew, or open the capsules.
If you’re taking pills, drink some water when you take your medication. Only divide a pill if it has a score line and you have been ordered to do so by your doctor. If you have difficulty swallowing, you can dissolve the full or split pill in a teaspoon of water and drink it straight away.
Hands should be washed before and after handling medicine or its container. When handling this drug or its container, you and/or your caretaker should wear disposable gloves. If powder from a tablet or capsule falls, immediately wipe it up with a moist paper towel and dispose of it in a closed container, such as a plastic bag. Clean up the spill as soon as possible with soap and water. Avoid inhaling the powder from the tablets/capsules.
Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should not handle this medication or breathe the dust from the tablets/capsules since it can be absorbed via the skin and lungs.

Inform your doctor if your condition does not improve or worsens.
