Information of Trexova Methotrexate Tablets

Trexova Methotrexate Tablet is a rheumatoid arthritis treatment that helps prevent additional joint deterioration. It is also used to treat severe cases of the skin condition psoriasis, where it kills skin cells that are growing too quickly.

Trexova Methotrexate Tablet can be taken either by alone or in conjunction with other drugs. You should follow your doctor’s instructions to the letter. It can have negative side effects if used in excess. The benefits might not become evident to you for a few weeks or months, but you shouldn’t stop taking it until your doctor instructs you to. While taking this medication, you should refrain from consuming alcohol as it may raise your risk of liver damage.

The most frequent negative effects of this medication are mouth sores, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, abdominal pain, and fatigue. In order to lower any of these, your doctor can suggest taking folic acid. Inform your doctor if they don’t go away or develop worse. There could be ways to stop or reduce these consequences. Your capacity to fight infections may be decreased by this medication, which could also cause issues with your blood, liver, or kidneys. Before and during the course of your treatment with this medication, your doctor may order a number of tests to look for them, including blood tests, x-rays, and physical exams.

Before taking it, let your doctor know if you have stomach, liver, or kidney issues, or are taking any antibiotics. Let your healthcare provider know about all the medications you are taking because many other medications can interact with this one or be impacted by it. This medication should not be used during pregnancy or while nursing since it could harm the unborn child.

Benefits of Trexova Methotrexate Tablets

Neoplastic Diseases:
Treatments for hydatidiform mole, chorioadenoma destruens, and gestational choriocarcinoma include methotrexate.
In maintenance therapy, methotrexate is used with other chemotherapy drugs.
Breast cancer, epidermoid cancers of the head and neck, advanced mycosis fungoides (cutaneous T cell lymphoma), and lung cancer, particularly squamous cell and small cell forms, can all be treated with methotrexate alone or in conjunction with other anticancer medications. Methotrexate is also used in conjunction with other chemotherapy drugs in the treatment of advanced stage non-Hodgkin’s lymphomas.

Psoriasis:
Methotrexate is appropriate for the symptomatic treatment of severe, persistent, debilitating psoriasis that has not responded effectively to other forms of therapy, but only when the diagnosis has been verified, such as by biopsy and/or dermatologic consultation. It is critical to rule out the possibility that a psoriasis “flare” is caused by an undiscovered concurrent condition influencing immune responses.

Rheumatoid Arthritis Including Polyarticular-Course Juvenile Rheumatoid arthritis:
Methotrexate is indicated for the treatment of adults with severe, active rheumatoid arthritis (ACR criteria) or children with active polyarticular-course juvenile rheumatoid arthritis who have had an inadequate therapeutic response to, or are intolerant of, an adequate trial of first-line therapy including full dose non-steroidal anti – inflammatory agents (NSAIDs).
